East Marion Park

The very first 14-permanent horseshoe courts in WV were built within the East Marion Recreational Park. Twelve courts in the East Marion Recreation Park were constructed in 1978 and two more were added in 1995.This site has held the most prestigious monetary tournaments in WV, including several annual Head-of-the-Mon-River/Memorial Weekend Tournaments and one of the only two National Horseshoe Pitchers Association (NHPA) Northeastern Regional Tournaments held in WV.  The Tri-County Horseshoe Pitching Club conducts events on the courts.

As the facility is NOT fully NHPA sanctioned, non-sanctioned league play by the Tri-County Horseshoe Club, Inc., will begin on the third Thursday in April at 6 PM.
